Mako Korean market position: 61 per cent of robotic joint replacements and 59 robots

Per Stryker Korea via the Korea Herald, Mako robots accounted for 61 per cent of all robotic joint replacement surgeries in Korea in 2023, with a cumulative total of 46,000 procedures in 2024 and 59 Mako robots operating in Korean hospitals. Himchan Hospital took its first Mako in 2020. These are company figures carried by the press, not an audited installed base, and the retrieved record does not date the 59-robot count.
