Reimbursement Policy G-10004, Technology Assisted Surgical Procedures (Indiana Medicaid)

Serving Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan and Hoosier Care Connect. Anthem does not allow separate or additional reimbursement for technology assisted surgical procedures, defined to include both robotic surgical systems and computer assisted surgical systems, unless a provider, state, federal or CMS contract requires otherwise. Reimbursement is the payment for the primary surgical procedure regardless of instruments, supplies, techniques or approach, or of any increase in operating room use, and the policy binds participating and nonparticipating providers and facilities.
