Distribution of Arthritis Subtypes Among Adults With Arthritis in the United States, 2017 to March 2020

On NHANES 2017 to March 2020, crude prevalence of any diagnosed arthritis among US adults aged 20 and over was 27.9 per cent, about 67.1 million people, age-standardised 24.9 per cent. An age-standardised 12.0 per cent of US adults were diagnosed with osteoarthritis, about 33.2 million on the crude distribution. One in five people with an arthritis diagnosis did not know their subtype. Doctor-diagnosed self-report, all joints, not knee-specific.
